We are an experienced band currently in search of new vocal talent, and are reaching out here as part of our auditioning process.
We have always been very serious about music; we have done it before professionally, and wish to do it for the rest of our lives by building our careers as performing artists. As it stands, we have been searching for the right vocalist for a while now--this comes after being in a touring band that, unfortunately, had a falling out just as we were getting somewhere. Despite not having a proper lead, we are experienced live musicians and songwriters, and have continued writing for the day we can put all the proper elements in place to begin another project, one that we intend to fully commit to once we are satisfied it can go the distance.
What do we sound like?
The direction that this band intends to go in is a result of our pulling from an eclectic pool of influences: we enjoy playing styles ranging from alternative, pop rock and progressive rock, to heavier genres of music--though we are not in search of a lead who can scream, the elements of post-hardcore and metal can be found in the songs we write. Bands such as Hands Like Houses, Periphery, Company of Thieves, TesseracT, CHON, Little Tybee, and Paramore have always been close to our hearts.
Our style demands someone who can sing both powerfully and beautifully (either male or female), with the control to sustain vocal projections that can really fill a room. Though not a strict requirement, our ideal candidate is between 18 and 25. Personality-wise, we are looking for a person who is at home in front of a crowd--someone who is enthusiastic and creative, with a fun and easygoing attitude that would make working on music together an enjoyable experience. Most importantly, he or she must possess the drive to help turn the dream of making music for a living into a reality.
