The Security Team Member is responsible for ensuring safety of bar customers and staff, and adherence to legal requirements. The Security Team Member is the bar's first contact with guests and therefore, should be firm and consistent but presentable and courteous and contribute to making sure that customers have an excellent customer experience. This experienced position is in charge of enforcing the liquor and bar entry laws and has the right to deny admission to guests when an issue arises or is anticipated. The Security Team Member is responsible for carding customers to identify if he/she is old enough to enter the bar and meets dress and other bar entry requirements. This person will monitor for any illegal activity, intervene if a fight occurs and provide security at the front door and throughout the location so that the bar runs smoothly. Also, will remove any guests who are causing problems and make them leave or call the police. And will frisk guests for weapons or contraband. Must be physically and mentally fit in order to perform job functions. Must be 30 years or older and have prior security.
