Bass Seeks Drums and Guitar or PianoKeys for Instrumental Music (Portland)
Hello-
I am a bass player who is looking for a drummer and a guitarist and/or piano/keyboard player to collaborate, write, play, and record instrumental music. I like to play odd times, melodic song structures, and more intricate music - but beyond that I am pretty open genre-wise. I am into a lot of bands along the lines of older prog rock, progressive metal, independent math rock, jazz-fusion, etc., such as:
Rush, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Mastodon, Animals As Leaders, Anciients, Intronaut, Don Caballero, Battles, The Champs, Faraquet, A Minor Forest, Shellac, Nomeansno, Return to Forever, Brand X, Zappa, Estradasphere, Dave Brubeck, etc...
I have a practice space, am dedicated, and like to practice. Ideally, it would be great to meet some like-minded musicians who are around my age (I am 40) that are dependable and serious about playing music for music's sake.
