The Big Band Theory of Baltimore has an alto saxophone position open. The band plays a mixture of song styles from traditional standards to modern rock, rockabilly, oldies, classic rock, latin, and more. We are a non-profit group that works on a point system for yearly stipends.
We rehearse once a week on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in Linthicum Heights, 21090. The band schedules 1-2 gigs a month, sometimes more depending on the time of year.
Requirements for working with us include having your own instrument, music stand, the ability to read music, and the most important part that you are dedicated to rehearsals and gigs.
