BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BUY TURTLES IN FISH BOWLS (ANYWHERE) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Just wanted to put a post up and warn potential buyers who are interested in buying a pet turtle for Christmas or really any day of the year! Baby turtles CANNOT live in fish bowls and need TWO types of lighting to live (UVB and heat source). Also the average price for a red eared slider, when they are babies is around 5 dollars! These turtles grow VERY fast and become pretty large and will need a 75 gallon or bigger when full grown. Turtles also live a very long time, average life span 25 years or more. Below is a link of how to care for a slider! if you do want one please research and read the link I provided. I recomend buying a turtle from your local reptile show (Cin city Reptile show) That way you can talk to a person and they can help you. Buy from someone who cares and not trying to make a quick Dollar.
