QR Code Link to This Post some maryland hospitals are among the worst in the country for patient care. my mother was called by her doctor to get to the hospital asap because her lung infection could be lethal. when she got to Carroll county hospital in Westminster she was made to sit in the ER for four hours NEXT TO A TRASH CAN. she was in pain, having a hard time breathing, and so weak she could hardly do anything for herself. when she FINALLY got to a room, no IV was placed, no heart monitor, pulse ox, blood drawn, nothing. we could not even get the nurses to come in and check on her without my sister and I hounding them to get on there. they gave her wrong medication, could give her no answers to what was going on. she was supposed to see a pulmonologist in the beginning and he NEVER SHOWED UP AT ALL!! it was hard to even get the house Dr to come in and see her. I spent the night to keep am eye on her because they were so NEGLIGENT. the nurses seemed to just drift in when they felt like it. we had to get a patient advocate to even get any answers at all!! they were trying to give her medication that wasn't even her medication! she was basically alone except for us her family. we were going to take her somewhere else but at that point she was just so weak we felt that wasn't an option. they had no clue what to do with her. that had her on the oncology floor when they said she didn't even have cancer. I thank God as hard as it was for me that I was there the night she died and had to run and BEG AND SCREAM to get them to even come in and look at her. I only posted this in the hope this can get out. even if it could save just ONE family to have to go through what she did at that dump. we will take this further by reporting that hospital and doing whatever else we can to save someone the heartache of losing someone through the negligence they showed there. its been a hard time for our family these last two weeks. losing someone is hard enough but when they are getting ignored and neglected by the people who are supposed to be taking care of them is just so pathetic. I'm asking anyone who wishes to please share this. get it out so may be someone would choose another hospital INSTEAD of #CARROLL HOSPITAL in Westminster Maryland. what she went through there I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. please continue to pray our family get through this horrible.
