My name is Tom and I'm a 65 YO semi-retired Christian man. I own and live in a home in Overland Park around 101st and Switzer. I was involved in an accident . . . . broke both hips, cracked my pelvis and broke 3 ribs. Spent close to a year in bed with surgeries and rehabs . . . subsequently I don't get around so well any more an need some help. I'm looking for someone as a General Helper . . . someone who is reliable, compassionate, able to help me so I don't have to move from my home.

Part time. I'm thinking maybe 10 hours per week. We can work out a schedule . . . . maybe something like
Monday - 3 hours
Wednesday - 3 hours
Friday - 4 hours

I'm flexible . . . . just looking for the right person and we can work out the hours. Immediate start.

Types of tasks . . . .
• Carrying light loads (laundry baskets, water jugs, etc.) up and down stairs
• Tending to house plants - watering, trimming, rotating
• Light cleaning - I have a Housekeeper . . . but periodic vacuuming, unloading dishwasher, touch-ups for company.
• Helping me run errands
• Helping me do some laundry
• Putting groceries away
• Getting things in and out of the attic
• Preparing to sell things on EBay and CraigsList - photograph, write-up, etc.
• ETC., Etc. - whatever I might need help with. Need to be flexible.

I can only pay $12.50/hour but . . .
- it is cash at the end of each week
- with no deductions and
- steady work with semi-flexible hours
- and you would certainly be helping someone who is in a difficult situation

Truly looking for a long-term helper.

Qualifications:
• Open to gender but prefer a female simply because I think they are typically more compassionate and better listeners
• Age - flexible as long as health-wise you can move up to 25 lbs. Can be in High School or a Grandparent.
• Lives within 15 miles or less of 66212
• Has reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License
• Good English communication skills
• Reliable - says what they will do and does what they say
