Youth Arts is very fortunate to have an opportunity to sponsor an innovative and amazing performance this coming May 13th at the Strom Theater, at Camden Hills Regional High School. The project is called The March - A New Civil Rights Art Project, and the performance is called "Freedom Summer", mass meeting event about the 1964 Mississippi Summer Project. We are looking for actors (who will be paid) to audition for this diverse, and totally unique one day only performance.

We are looking for 12 actors. The "types" of actors that are needed, with race/age/sex indicated are as follows:

"Wendy" -- white female civil rights volunteer (18 years -- 25 years)

"Cynthia" -- african american civil rights volunteer (18 years -- 26 years)

"Sam" -- white male civil rights volunteer (18 years -- 26 years)

"Dorie" -- african american female civil rights activist (22 years -- 30 years)

"Hollis" -- african american male civil rights activist (22 years -- 30 years)

"Rita" -- white female civil rights activist (22 years -- 30 years)

"Jim" - "Hollis" -- african american male civil rights activist (25 years -- 35 years)

"Kristoff" -- white male newspaper reporter (25 years -- 50 years)

"Hollis" -- african american male civil rights activist (22 years -- 30 years)

"Henry" - white male Justice Department official (25 years - 35 years)

"Leila" -- white female civil rights activist (22 years -- 30 years)

"Fanny" - african american Mississippi civil rights activist (30 years - 50 years)
