OPEN CALL - SPRING AUDTIONS
Milwaukee, WI (March 23, 2015) The Hansberry-Sands Theatre Company (HSTC) is seeking talent for their spring, summer and winter offerings.
The Company is in search of actors for a variety of dramatic and musical roles for theatrical projects including dramatic and musical mainstage works, festivals, convention, and outdoor theater offerings in the months of May, July, August and December. Males and females with varying age span of 19 to 60 are invited to audition.
Auditions are by appointment only and will be held Saturday, April 4 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the WAAW Center, 3020 W. Vliet Street, Milwaukee, WI. They will be scheduled in 10 to 15 minute increments. Consideration will be given to auditionee's who provide headshots and resume's and are prepared with a three minute dramatic monologue. If auditioning with a musical selection be prepared to sing acapella or bring CD. A cold reading may also be included in the process. Hansberry-Sands, now celebrating their 34th season, is the oldest African American Theatre Company in the State of Wisconsin. They are a resident of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, a member of the Downtown Theater District and a founding member of BATT (Black Arts Think Tank).
