Walt Disney Studios talent search is about to get underway for lead roles in the new 'Untitled Star Wars' feature film spinoff. The studio is open to casting new unknown talent for this project, lead roles. This will be the first non-sequel non-reboot feature film for the Star Wars franchise. It is the first non-sequel standalone Star Wars movie of the Disney era. Gareth Edwards will direct from an original screenplay written by Academy Award nominee Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta, based on brand new characters by four-time Academy Award nominee George Lucas. The film will be produced by four-time Academy Award nominee Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg. The filming will overlap with 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'.
