Casting Talent for Web Series (Seattle) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post SYNOPSIS:
"LESS" is a single camera, serialized web series written as a sitcom. It is a comedy that follows the lives of four homeless people as they attempt to survive in a world that doesn't care about them. It's an ensemble cast - none of the four characters are more important than the others.

The humor is often dark and ballsy and the drama is ambitious, character driven and written by people who have experienced similar issues to the characters. Our goal is to write from a place of intelligence and unapologetic humor.

IMPORTANT INFO:
This is an unpaid gig. Shooting will begin on the last Saturday of Feb, and will continue on the weekends through mid April, about 120 total hours. Main cast members will obviously put in more hours than the rest of the cast and will be expected to be available for most (but certainly not all) of these hours. These auditions will be recorded (and unpublished) so we can review them.

We are currently casting for the four main roles listed below. We will soon send out calls for about 10-15 supporting cast members, some with recurring roles. Please let us know if you would like to be contacted when those roles are being cast.

We are hoping to find people who can commit long term for the four main roles. Contact us for in depth character descriptions and scenes to audition with. We look forward to hearing from you!

Of the four main roles two have been cast. The remaining roles are:

Shugs, female, non-white, 35-40 (age flexible). A maternal, mildly frightening woman whose faith has gotten her this far. Shugs killed her horrifically abusive husband at a young age and ran away with her son. Since then, she's chosen to stay homeless, afraid of being found out otherwise.

Dev (Devin), male, 40s. Dev's a gross dude. You can count on him to have carved out holes in various fruits so he can fuck them, or get a little handsy with your dog. He was once in a wildly successful grunge rock band and is stuck in the 90s. Honestly, Dev could hold a job if he felt like not waking up in Westlake Park naked every other.
