Animal lovers . . .PLEASE HELP!! Craigslist specifically prohibits the SELLING of any puppies or animals for profit. It also specifically forbids STUD ADS!!! They SPECIFY (IN BOLD RED) that "only animals that are a person's personal pet may be re-homed for a SMALL re-homing fee". These are all things a person agrees to when they check the box saying they agree to CL "Terms of Use"! Note: If an animal is spayed/Neutered we feel a responsible owner, not contributing to pet overpopulation has the right to ask more for a rehoming fee. . .

The St. Louis area began a group effort to flag the sales of all puppy mill and backyard breeder's dogs about 3 months ago. Since then, they have seen a TREMENDOUS increase in adoption of shelter pets! In fact, several shelters have not had to euthanize a SINGLE animal on the adoption floor, even CATS!

Please go to the pet section and flag all illegal ads daily. Watch carefully, because many Puppy Mills have "dog flippers" that buy a puppy or two from them that are 8-16 weeks old and the flipper makes up a sob story to make it look like it is their own personal dog. . .except the re-homing fees are not listed or are over $150! Typical stories: "the kid is allergic', "I have to work too much", or "I'm having a baby"

Also search in: Sales-General section, Sales-Farm and Garden, and Services-Pets sections and flag there also!

Let's clean Missouri up and get rid of backyard breeders, puppy mills and dog flippers. It's a DIRTY GREEDY BUSINESS and the animals are innocent victims!
