Computerized Treatment for Anger and Alcohol Problems

Researchers at Florida State University are testing a newly developed computerized treatment for anger and alcohol use problems. Participants will receive compensation for completing the study. The entire study can be completed online and over the phone, and participants are not required to come to the lab for any visits. All participants will also receive an alcohol use intervention via the computer. After completing a phone interview, eligible participants will then be assigned to one of two conditions involving either a novel treatment for anger problems or a control condition. Each condition involves eight 15-minute online sessions that will take place over 4 weeks (2 sessions per week). Prior to the first session, after the last session, and one month later participants will complete online assessments in which they will answer questions about their mood and behaviors.
