We are looking for a warm, creative, knowledgeable, fun, loving, clever all around helpful person (woman or man), to hang out/supervise/play with our boy, invent fun fun and good learning/growing experience trips/adventures, help with pets (dogs and cats), household, errands, yummy cooking - this is very important!! (knowing how to cook vegan would be a plus), playing soccer too!!, etc. We are a creative, European family who have gone through an amicable divorce. Shared custody, 50/50 mom, dad. Our son is super clever, curious and non-traditional in his choices; coins, rocks,antiques, soccer, pets and anything unusual. 11 3/4 is pre-puberty, so ingenuity and patience are a must, plus lots of experience with kids this age group. Consistency and boundary setting are important. During the school year (ends June 4, then starts back up after Labor Day) there will be regular driving to and from school in Pasadena, as well as general help around the house, shopping, laundry, basic life -really, and potentially some additional assisting mom (who runs a production company). In the summer there will be summer camps to drive to and from, but also full days of work (beach days, etc). More hours of work for the right person. You must have experience with kids, common sense, a warm and positive attitude plus flexibility. The job will start asap, go thru the summer, down July 23-August 19 continue end of August.. There will be about 50-100 hours per month, depending on how much you can help with general errands and such. $12-14 per hour. Drivers License, a safe, reliable car and insurance are assumed(!), we do live in LA after all... Hoping to find our next lovely family!
