We are looking for a warm, creative, knowledgeable, fun, loving, clever all around helpful person (woman or man), to study.hang out/supervise/play with our Tween., invent, fun and good learning/growing experience trips/adventures, possibly help with pets (dogs and cats), household, errands, yummy cooking - this is very important!! (knowing how to cook vegan would be a plus), playing soccer too!!, etc. We are a creative, European family who have gone through an amicable divorce. Shared custody, about half and half. Our son is super clever, likely Dyslexic, curious and non-traditional in his choices. He needs help organizing, as he is now entering 7th grade. 12 is near-puberty, so ingenuity and patience are a must, plus lots of experience with kids this age group. Consistency and boundary setting are important. There will be regular driving to and from school in Pasadena, as well as potential general help around the house, shopping, laundry, basic life -really, and potentially some additional assisting mom (runs a production company). More hours of work for the right person. You must have experience with kids, common sense, a warm and positive attitude plus flexibility. The job will start in end of August, go thru the school year and into next summer. There will be about 50-100 hours per month, depending on how much you can help with general errands and such. $13-15 per hour, plus gas for your car. Drivers License, a safe, reliable car and insurance are assumed(!), we do live in LA after all... Hoping to find our next lovely family!
