We are a bassist and lead vocalist/guitarist looking for a lead guitarist and drummer to form a band. The sound will be a mix of fast Thrash Metal style riffing and double bass, old school Punk Rock energy and melody, and the slow and sludgy riffs of Doom Metal for bridge sections that contrast the rest of the song. I definitely have a love for the darker, Horror and occult themed imagery and want to bring back of that type of imagery in a lot of our visual artwork, stage presence, and
lyrics. Not really in a "Black Metal"-esque way, but more along the lines of Danzig, Slayer, Ghost, etc. Aside from enjoying that type of imagery and using it, there's definitely no limitation on lyrical concepts at all and we can take each song in any direction, as long as we stick to our sound. Musically speaking, I'm just looking for a lead guitarist who can handle soloing, playing riffs, and even harmonizing at times as well as a drummer who can do some double bass stuff, potentially switch up tempos and time signatures, and add some fills and interesting ideas into the mix. Nothing will be THAT insanely technical. This band's sound will be more about the quality of each song, than displaying technical skill just for the sake of displaying technical skill. My vocals are mostly clean, aside from potentially trying some occasional gritty Thrash Metal vocals for certain sections (even that will still have a sense of melody though). I don't want to be another screaming/breakdown/whiny chorus band in this local scene. I think it would be more interesting to display the other aspects of what can be considered "heavy" and write songs that are a bit more timeless sounding. As for age, 18-30 would definitely make the most sense, considering that we are both in our early 20's. I know this is a bit wordy, but I have a concept in mind and specific ideas and I want to take it as far as possible and even start working on demos as soon as we possibly could.
