Duke is the perfect city boy looking for a fun active adopter (Peaceable kingdom)
Meet Duke!
Duke is a 1.5 year old Terrier/Lab mix. Sadly, Duke was abandoned outside our shelter and was left with a note that simply stated his name and date of birth. I don't know why because he is an amazing dog!
Duke is a super lovable guy who would make an awesome buddy for someone who is active or looking for a workout buddy! He is super sweet and just adores people. He will greet anyone happily. He also loves other dogs of all sizes, he will happily greet them and is great off the leash with them. He would make a really great running partner, he loves to run. I take him running often and so far we have done a little over three miles. He is building up his mileage and can definitely go further. He can hit about a 9:15 to 10 minute mile, maybe faster as he builds up his mileage! Duke would love to be in a home with someone who could continue to run with him, take him for hikes, etc and continue his socialization with other dogs ! He loves to play and loves to play with toys. He is fine with you taking toys and food away from him. He still needs some basic obedience training but he is very smart and learns quickly! Duke is house trained and also does well in the crate when you are not home. He is a very fun dog and would do great in city living with a fun active person!
Adult dog adoptions include - spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, 4dx, fecal, dewormer and flea preventative.
