Jackson is an energetic 2-year old Pitbull mix who is hoping for a perfect home! Initially at our shelter over a year ago, Jackson was adopted and returned when his parents got a divorce, both unable to take him along with them. Jackson sadly returned to ACCT and is still waiting for a place to call his own. Jackson seems to like other dogs very much, but isn't always aware of his size--he's a bit like an older brother! He keeps trying to play even if the other dogs have had enough. He'll need very slow introductions to new doggy friends in his home, and adequate space to keep them separated at first. He's shown a bit too much interest in cats and would prefer a home without them. Jackson is a huge, energetic guy and would be happiest in a home with older kids and experienced adults, who will take him on long runs and out for romps in a big, fenced in yard--this guy is by no means an apartment dog! He is super treat-motivated but does take some time to get tricks down 100%--he'll need a strict schedule that will help reinforce positive behavior. Despite the work this handsome hunk would need, he'll be sure to reward you with super snuggles and endless kisses! Jackson is a total lovebug and likes to snuggle up in a big bed--he'll wrap his paw around you and be the big spoon! He's an entertaining, fun guy who aims to please and just needs help to find his perfect place--could it be with you?
