Here at JamaJaz, we strive to provide excellent childcare for your child. We are flexible in accommodating the needs of each individual child, such as diaper changes, diaper to potty training, special feeding, and nap times.
Our main focus is to help our toddlers grow into beautiful human beings that are kind and compassionate. We set the example for our children. They are our future. So come and learn and play with us!
An example of our day:
7:00-9:00- Arrival, breakfast, and free play- we provide a nutritious homemade meal such as ham and egg sandwiches.
9:00-10:00- Circle time- we begin the day with circle time, reviewing our letters and learning a monthly theme; for example October is "In the Orchard".
10:00-10:15- a light snack that includes fruits, cheese, milk, and juice.
10:15-10:45- Arts and Crafts- We do arts and crafts associated with our monthly theme, such as a family fruits and nuts with which the children glue on our JamaJaz Family Tree.
10:45-11:30- Out-door play- this is where we practice on gross motor skills, such as beanbag toss, and if weather permits, we go to the local park
11:30-12:45- Lunch/AM departure- we provide a nutritious lunch for our children. Each month, our menu varies depending on our monthly theme as well as the culture we are learning about.
12:45-2:30- PM Arrival/Rest Time- we settle down for a nap
2:30-4:00- Discovery Time- When we wake up, we have fun activities waiting for us such as number games, color matching, and puzzles.
4:00-4:15- Light Snacks- to energize the children to get ready for outdoor or indoor play
4:15-5:00- Closing time- we end our day by reflecting about our day, singing a closing song. Sometimes the children request to play London bridges and other children games. We encourage the children to request games and songs!
5:00-6:00- Departure- as we wait for our parents inside or out, we play and share with our friends!
A little about us!
JamaJaz Family Day Care cares for infants (3-24 months) and toddlers (2+ years old). The staff members are CPR certified, have undergone background checks, and have been fingerprinted. All our staff provide a nurturing environment for the growing children. We are conveniently located near West Portal Muni Station, close to freeway 280, and near various bus routes. Imagine after dropping off your child at JamaJaz, you only have a ~15 minute drive or ~30 minute bus ride from downtown San Francisco!
