employees are covered under insurance and workers comp. Employees are paid on a hourly base and not "Piece Work". Piece work is when they get paid based on the amount of roofing they install. This causes the installer of course to work extremely fast. Now, this may sometimes be beneififcial to the employer, it can also cause more problems. I have seen that this may cause the installers to make more mistakes and overlook proper waterproofing techniques. This is why our crews are paid hourly. Less mistakes!
