EXPERIENCED SAS PROGRAMMER/STATISTICIAN
Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAS Statistical Programmer for several internal projects and our various clients to work onsite in our corporate office located in Indianapolis, IN for a 3 - 6 month contract, full-time all on-site.
DESCRIPTION:
The Candidate is responsible for solving complex data problems across a wide range of industries using statistical analysis and business knowledge that delivers powerful insights into data that can be used for competitive advantage. This position will help drive statistical analysis across multiple projects and will also require interfacing with clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Develop a data-driven analysis approach for clients.
� Apply common statistical and modeling methodologies to data.
� Perform analyses using various SAS programming techniques and tools, including Enterprise Miner.
� Create SAS programs according to requirements specifications to produce accurate and timely results.
� Interpret and present results and insights derived from the analysis in report, presentation or workshop formats.
� Combine data from multiple sources and reformat to produce analysis datasets.
� Review data to verify integrity and consistency for completeness, accuracy, and suitability including data adherence to protocol, data coding integrity, reliability of collection and interpretation.
� Perform peer reviews which include reviewing code, confirming accuracy of results, conforming to company style guidelines.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS AND QUALIFICATIONS
� MS in Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics or 3 years equivalent work experience.
� Minimum of 2 years' experience in SAS programming.
� Proficiency in data mining / predictive modeling tools such as SAS, SPSS, etc.
� Recent experience in developing Analytical models using these techniques.
� Strong familiarity with data preparation and processing.
� Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts.
� Solid written and oral communication skills for presenting data findings across the company.
� Strong technical, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
� Creative problem-solver with an ability to apply analytics to real-world business situations and produce measureable improvements for clients.
� Comfortable with ambiguity and truly enjoy the challenge of creating new solutions for complex problems.
