Taking a long shot here. Looking for a solid female vocalist with a good ear and electric bass strengths.
The band is working and gigging but in a building phase as well; we practice at least weekly in Andover. Gigging in Lowell and Cambridge areas. Targeting Boston as well. If you're way far away, it probably won't work, eh?
The sound is truly unique, with nearly all originals with soul groove, some rap, RnB/funk, some James Brown derived stuff. Galactic, Roots, Fishbone, RHCP Not a jam band, not a rock and roll or cover band...tight arrangements, dynamics, attention to detail etc.
The main lead vocal is male with some other male back up. Definitely feature songs in play, including Amy Winehouse feel. Looking to have a couple female featured vocal tunes per night and back up vocals, if possible
A good stage presence is essential...not flash necessarily but style, soul, cool, and commitment to the presence is good enuf. We can talk and see about a great@!
