Field Inspectors Training

An independent field inspector acts as the eyes and ears of the company requesting the inspection. A field inspection is a visual inspection of a residential property.

The duties of a Property Inspector would be to drive to predetermined properties and take photos of homes and drop off notes for the Banks that service the Mortgages on those homes. On average you would take 7-10 photos per home and knock on the door to determine if the property is still occupied. You will determine if the house is vacant or if the Mortgagor or Tenant still reside at the property as well as report Utilities and Damage.

Each inspection for a mortgage company takes about 2-10 minutes to report on its occupancy and condition. Most of your time is spent driving from address to address, so you must enjoy driving.
