Cleveland Animal Control is located at 2690 W. 7th St, Cleveland, OH 44113. Hours are 10am-3pm, Monday-Saturday. The adoption fee is $61 cash (no checks or debit/credit cards) and includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip, and dog license.
Most of the dogs at Cleveland Animal Care and Control are available for adoption. However, sometimes a dog will have a medical issue (heartworm, demodex, broken limb, etc.) that would best be corrected under the oversight of a rescue organization. Dog that are not available for adoption need to become the responsibility of a rescue organization (after they agree) in order to leave CAC and avoid being at risk of euthanasia. Most rescue organizations don't have open foster homes, and we don't have our own foster program, so what we try to do is connect folks who want to help a dog with one of our rescue partners to save the dog.
