Free RecordingMixingProduction Shame Flute is the Fluture (Denver)
Hullo!
My name's Jonathan Schooler. I'm a writer, musician, and rabid music enthusiast.
The last few years I've been recording my own music (I'm currently working on my second record) and I've always been interested in running a recording studio/label. I know it's a dying model, but I still think there are ways of making it work.
More than anything my interest is in offering recording opportunities to talented individuals who otherwise would have trouble getting a demo, EP, or LP cut. If I believe in what you're doing, I'm willing to record you free of charge. Donations will be accepted of course, but my main aim is to build a community, and to learn more about the technical craft.
The company's called Shame Flute. It's a silly name and I'm a silly ass, but the name has some bearing. The Flute of Shame was a contraption used for public humiliation during medieval times for musicians who failed to impress nobles. I liked the idea of repurposing an instrument meant to shame musicians into one that exalts them.
I have great mics, all around good gear, and I'm willing to travel to your abode if that's what you'd prefer.
If you're interested you can contact me on Facebook:

Additionally, I use the moniker Glimjack for my recordings.
You can hear cuts from my first record on my website:

Shoot me an email, and give me a rundown of you and your music. If you have old recordings you can send my way, I'd love to hear them--if not, no biggie.
