We have a very sweet hound/pointer mix that we are needing to re-home. We adopted him 2 months ago, but we have found out that he does not get along well with cats. Our cat has been a part of our family for a long time and our daughter is very attached to him, so we cannot re-home the cat. Remy (the dog) generally starts out very curious about the cat, but once he approaches the cat and it hisses then Remy's chase instinct is triggered. Remy is wonderful with children (we have a 3.5 year-old and a 5 month-old). He is 2 years-old, UTD on all shots, and neutered. He loves to cuddle and play. He has never destroyed anything in the house, although he does sometimes grab a child's stuffed animal thinking it's one of his toys, but once it is taken away from him he doesn't try to play with it any longer. He is mostly housebroken - he has only had 2 accidents in the two months that we have had.
