A nationally licensed mortgage company located in Independence, Ohio seeks a freelance writer to assist in the development of content for our corporate blog, thinkreddoor.com. This is a work from home subcontractor position. However, it's a bonus if you live nearby and could possibly stop in for a meeting on rare occasion (once per month or less; most likely much less!).

Our blog focuses on mortgage, refinancing, home purchasing/selling, home ownership and good financial practices.

Our ideal candidate:

-Has a well-developed portfolio

-Has experience writing for clients in the finance sector (preferred, but not required)

-Has impeccable spelling, grammar and punctuation skills

-Is available 15-20 hours per week for this assignment

-Is versed in SEO content writing

-Is professional and meets deadlines consistently

About the position:

- 8 to 10 pieces of content per week in an ongoing capacity

-Content ranges from 350-800 words, depending on the topic

-I will assign topics to you each week (and I will also accept pitches from you)

-Payment will be $40 per post, flat rate

-You may occasionally be offered additional projects depending on the needs of the department
