Gardening volunteer needed to beautify our community for seniors (Portland)
If you love to garden and want to make a difference in the lives of local seniors, we have a volunteer opportunity for you:
We are an Assisted Living facility in Portland serving seniors with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia. Each year, our residents enjoy gardening and walking around the garden area looking at plants and flowers. We are in need of a volunteer to come in once a week and help us tend our garden to make this outdoor setting beautiful for our residents. The volunteers will be planting, weeding, maintaining and designing our garden. Spending time with our residents assisting them with gardening would also be part of this volunteer opportunity.
