Daisy - 3 Cheers for Animals Journey
The girls will get a chance to meet with our animals and staff to learn about how we care for the animals, learn about the native habitats & ranges of the animals, and how several of the species presented have benefited humans. Brownie -- Pets Badge
Non-traditional pets can be so much fun and rewarding, but which ones are the best to own? Which should be avoided? How do we care for them? Animal Wonders can provide you with the best options on choosing a pet & how to care for your new feathered, scaly, or slimy friend. Live animals will be shown to the girls. Brownie -- Bugs Badge
With almost five million species of "bugs" found in the world, they are the world's most common animal! Animal Wonders will teach the girls how to identify the major groups of arthropods, their diets, life cycles, how to create a captive habitat and care for them. Girls will get to see live examples of exotic and native insects and arachnids. Junior - Animal Habitats Badge
Using a variety of live animals, we will teach the girls about where each species is found naturally, their diets, their classification, problems facing them in the wild, if they make good pets and what girls can do to help animals around the world. Senior -- Voice for Animals Badge
Since nearly all of our animals are surrenders or rescues, we teach the girls to make informed decisions in animal ownership. We will show them live success stories and teach them how to take action with conservation groups. Ambassador -- Water Badge
Girls will have the opportunity to do hands on experiments with a watershed showing the importance of wetlands and the effects of pollution in our waterways. A mock oil spill will show how hard it is for wildlife to survive when a spill occurs and how difficult it is to clean the animals. Live animals from various water ecosystems will be presented. For more information, , please call Animal Wonders at ; visit our site at www.animalwonders.net; "like" us on Facebook; follow us on Twitter & Pinterest. Live Animal Presentations - We feel that it is important that the students get to see the animals in person during our programs. All of our animals are safe when handled by our educators, most of which have been employed & trained by AZA accredited institutions. The species that will be presented will be customized to the program selected. We have a variety of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates that will enhance the program. Animal Wonders DOES NOT condone private ownership nor would expose any children to primates, wild canids, and wild felids. WE ARE NOT THE COMPANY THAT TAKES ORDERS FOR OR SELLS BABY EXOTIC ANIMALS!!! Our animals are for educational purposes; they are not circus acts or performers. Animal Wonders is fully insured and licensed with the state of Missouri. Our animals/facilities are inspected by the USDA, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri Department of Conservation.
