Girls Angle A Math Club for Girls (Cambridge)

Hey, Girls!
Learn math! Make new friends!

Girls' Angle invites girls aged roughly 10-18 who would like to learn math in a friendly environment quite different from the school classroom experience.

Girls work with women mentors mainly from Harvard and MIT. These mentors understand math extremely well and get to know each girl as an individual. They work on motivation and design custom exercises, problems, activities and projects for the girls to improve their knowledge and understanding of mathematics. There is always at least one mentor present who has a doctoral degree in mathematics.

Girls also meet professional women who use mathematics in their work to make interesting and important contributions to society.

We invite *all* girls roughly aged 10-18. If you already love math, come and join! Our mathematician mentors can do math with you to your heart's content! If you're afraid of math, come and join! You don't have to worry about homework or tests. If you don't like math, come and join! You may be surprised at how useful math can be in subjects you do like.

Math is one of the most thriving and active professions and is important to know for many other fields such as biostatistics, computer science, and economics.

Our fall session begins on September 17! For more information and a schedule, please visit our website at http://www.girlsangle.org where you can read the latest issue of our bimonthly magazine the Girls' Angle Bulletin, watch our Women-In-Mathematics Videos, and learn more about us. And check out our blog for some cool math.

Girls' Angle is a 501(c)(3). Our mission:
To foster and nurture girls' interest in mathematics and empower them to be able to tackle any field no matter the level of mathematical sophistication...
