Detroit Golf Club is currently looking to fill a number seasonal Grounds Maintenance positions.
Our work season runs from late March/ early April through late October/early November depending on the weather.
Work hours will be from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday and will change to 6am-2pm once the days become longer.
You must also be available to work some weekends (typically 6am-9:30am during the summer) and some holidays.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYEMENT.
The position is for individuals that don't mind getting up early in the morning and do not mind working outdoors in every type of weather condition.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, mowing/walk mowing of greens/tees/fairways/rough, course set up, raking bunkers, line trimming, blowing debris, and assisting in various projects that are asked of by supervisors and management.
Candidates for this position will:
* Be a self starter
* Be a reliable, punctual team player.
* Be willing to listen and learn standard maintenance practices.
* Be honest, trustworthy, and energetic.
* Bring a positive working attitude to D.G.C.
* Be able to work well with others.
* Possess dependable transportation
* Be physically able to lift 50lbs
Golf course experience is preferred, but not required.
Limited free golf is available.
Lunches provided Tuesday-Friday.
Uniforms provided after 30 days.
Possible pay increase after 30 days.
