Us vs. body shop
Does your car bumper have a scratch, dent or crack? If so, we specialize in bumper repair on site at your home or office. Most body shops will not repair your bumper, instead they will replace it. There are a few reasons why.
First of all, you or your insurance company is paying for it. So why should they spend extra money on labor when they can just get a new one, paint it and install it. Second, they do not specialize in plastic repair. Their body or "metal men" work on metal. And last,if they did repair it and it did not come out perfect, they could not justify charging you top dollar.
Our process
Mask and sand damaged area, repair scratches, dents and cracks on bumper, primer damaged area(s), sand primer to smooth surface,prep and clean area to be painted, retrieve color code from car, enter code into computerized mixing system, mix base coat, spray bumper with base coat, clear coat bumper.
Chrome bumpers, damaged bumper reinforcements (behind plastic bumpers), bumpers missing pieces of plastic, bumpers with broken tabs that attach bumper to car, caved in dents larger than about ten inches, cracks larger than ten inches. .
Dent Repair
Paint-less Dent Removal
If you have dents on your vehicle and the paint is not damaged, in most cases we can remove those with out having to paint the panel. Using a process called paint-less dent removal(PDR), we can access the dent from the inside of the panel and work the dent out. The advantages for using this technique are: cost efficient, saves time, no body filler used and it preserves your car's factory finish.
For smaller dents, this is always the most economical and time efficient solution. The cost in most cases is 75% to 80% less than a body shop would charge.
For larger dents, depending on the size and location, it is determined on a case by case situation. We have to take into account, what level of perfection you are expecting and is it going to be more time efficient than traditional body work and painting.
Auto Body Work and Painting
We offer this service when the panel is dented and paint repair is required. This process is performed the same way as a traditional body shop. We straighten the panel as much as possible, smooth out area using a body filler and block sanding, apply primer, wet sand, clean and prep, mix color by entering the paint code from your vehicle into our computer, apply base coat and clear coat, wet sand and buff if necessary.
If the damage is more extensive, you need panels replaced, or the damage is on the hood or roof of the vehicle...these jobs need to be performed at our shop. or a 2nd visit We can promise the best price in the shortest time in the business because we are by appointment only.
