Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Thrash/Punk guitarist avail.
25/M, Marshall player, working on endorsement from Fender. Full analog pedalboard. Looking to play music that sounds like a damn freight train running off the tracks. I wanna play leads that sound like we're barely holding it together. I am a lead guitarist.
My influences (for this direction) include: Velvet Revolver, Anthrax, ACDC, the Hangmen, AIC even some EoDM and the Hives. As a hard rocker, I definitely identify w/Slash, Zakk and Randy, even Jerry Cantrell, the most. They're classics because they use simple blues leads, which are the foundation to what I sound like. I'm not a "hey look at me" shredder, I stay in the pocket, I play what sounds good, and I won't argue w/the songwriter or bandleader. Disclaimer: I don't play EMGs. I have great tone and really don't mind being honest about it.
Been in tons of bands, touring, shows, studios (CRC, EA, Magic Shop). I am not a heavy metal/hard rock songwriter, I write leads and write lyrics. I am a punk/glam/indie songwriter and BMI artist with a modest catalog of punk and indie songs to my credit. Not looking for programmed/drum-trigger/screamo/-core metal or anything that sounds cheesy like Poison/GnR/Motley Crue. I'm looking for collaboration with great band and great musicians. As far as lead guitarists go, there are many with a ton of drama and baggage. I have NONE of that; the only bags I have are my road cases for my Telecasters.
