Hellbent is a New Orleans based leather accessory company. Our air-conditioned studio is in St. Roch. We are looking for help with all facets of our business. Primarily social media to expand our online presence and general shop/manufacturing help in our studio. We do all manufacturing of our products on site. Specific days/hours not required but are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week. Workdays are typically Tues-Sun from 12pm-8pm, but can vary.
Our main products are holster bags, belt bags, hip pouches, body harnesses, and cuffs. We also do custom work and costume pieces. Think burning man, ren fairs, cosplay etc. We also work in recycled bicycle tubes, as a leather alternative.
This is an unpaid internship position. Can be used for college credit. The position will be catered to your skills and interests. Potential for paid work in the future. As our business expands we will certainly need paid manufacturing help. Included with this internship are: snacks, access to equipment you've been trained on, large space to work on your own projects, as well as supplies and materials.
Formal cover letter and resume not required. Please tell us about yourself, your skills (including computer skills), what you might like to learn from this internship, what you can bring to our brand and any relevant past work you have done. Having a car and interest in occasional driving a plus. Include a link to your instagram or other social media site if you wish. Examples of artwork or craftwork from any field would be appreciated. Also please include your availability. Thanks!
