Reading Partners empowers volunteers like you to become leaders in the community by helping struggling readers succeed. Each week, you will meet one-on-one with your student to help him or her develop strong literacy skills and discover a passion for reading. We'll provide a structured curriculum, in-person training, and ongoing support for volunteers like you to help students thrive. Teach a skill for life. Children who read on grade-level by the end of third grade are more successful in school, work, and in life. Over the past decade, Reading Partners has helped more than 30,000 students become strong, confident readers with the support of volunteers like you. By sharing their passion and knowledge, volunteers have led students to (on average) triple their rate of learning for every month enrolled in Reading Partners. 70% of our tutors have little to no education experience. Anyone over the age of 14 can volunteer with us! What: Become a reading partner. A kid near you is waiting for your help.
