Description
The Service Desk Analyst position provides assessment and resolution of incidents across a computing environment. The analyst must be able to work at a fast-pace while providing high-quality troubleshooting and technical assistance in order to bring about a satisfactory resolution to our customers. The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for achieving and maintaining pre-determined Key Performance Indicators and Service Levels. The Service Desk Analyst's role is to ensure proper computer operation so that customers can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, assessing, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and issues. Incident resolution will involve the use of a variety of environment specific tools. Experience with office 365 highly desired

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate working knowledge of current technology to support various platforms and applications
• Knowledge of both inbound and outbound service desk processes
• Must be able to demonstrate customer service skills such as patiently seeking to understand customer's issue and situation, providing workarounds, proper follow-up, and status updates.
• Ability to remain organized while performing multiple tasks
• Must be flexible and adaptable (shifts may vary, weekend and after-hours on-call duties required)
• Able to follow direction from management and Senior Analysts
• Serve as first point of contact in all computer hardware, software and telecommunications incidents and requests.
• Identify and escalate issues requiring urgent or immediate attention
• Demonstrate working knowledge of current technology to support various platforms and applications
• Analyze complex hardware and software problems to determine the most appropriate solution
• Perform and document technical troubleshooting from a variety of sources -- phone, email, chat, and self-service
• Collaborate with team members and other support teams to resolve incidents and technical issues
• Identify and escalate issues requiring urgent or immediate attention
• Provide technical training to peers and customers
• Articulate verbally with limited grammatical and spelling errors.
• Adhere to Incident Management and Service Desk processes and procedures
• Be a self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service

Required Skills:
· Proficiency in knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, iOS, Android OS, Mac OS X
· Office 2007-2013
· BMC Remedy (or similar service management ticketing application)
· Wireless Networking, VPN, SMS, Remote Desktop
· Mobile Device Troubleshooting
· 2+ years Helpdesk or Service Desk experience in professional environment
· 3+ years performing IT troubleshooting
· Excellent customer service, in a fast pace and challenging environment
· The ability to create a professional conducive work environment in the event of a schedule or unscheduled campus closure
· Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
