Over 18 years experience working as a private contractor with seniors in their home.

At this time I now have a 93 year old mother living with me for the last 3 years needing some of my attention as well; she is ambulatory but needs some companionship and minor observation. So, in order for this to work out she'd need to be with me in these instances where I'm helping you. She's better off with me than at home without me. This situation with Mom coming with me has worked just fine with recent clients. The clients have seemed to appreciate having a person of similar age to engage with in conversation.

To tell you a little bit more about myself:

I was born and raised in WA state on a small farm with seven brothers and sisters. Our family raised all forms of livestock, gardened, canned our own food, enjoyed hunting, fishing and the general, gentle, quiet country lifestyle. And I still enjoy and prefer this lifestyle over all others.

Now to cover my charges as a self employed contractor:

I usually charge in the realm of 2,800 a month with some slight wiggle room to negotiate. This charge is for 5/24 hour days a week with 2 days off. But I will consider other requests in proportion to varying monetary considerations.

I prefer to buy my own food.

PLEASE STRONGLY CONSIDER WHAT I SAY NEXT:

I have always had a strong heartfelt desire to serve the needs and protect whomever I help as if they were my own parent and I am very willing to be flexible in all circumstances. Whenever I make a commitment I intend to see that commitment through. If personal circumstances arise that prevent me from continuing I have always endeavored to give as much notice to the parties involved as I possibly can.

ANOTHER THING VERY IMPORTANT:

Due to the time of year and where we are living presently, (in NC), the communication, and patience needed are tremendous. If you are in a rush and haven't planned for this well in advance this will not work for us. Realistically, this would have to be planned for next year in the spring to summer timeframe. And considerate communication during that interval will be the key, until we are both satisfied with one another's character and the conditions discussed thoroughly to warrant such a long distance commitment. I don't want to quickly jump into something that doesn't work out for a decent amount of time. I would imagine you wouldn't want that either.

ANOTHER OPTION TO CONSIDER FOR THOSE THAT MAY READ THIS:

My husband could be included in this service in some agreeable capacity. The most desirable idea to us is to physically aid a rancher or farmer and their spouse, (who are up in years), in some way, so that they can stay longer on the property they love, instead of going to a nursing home or feeling forced to have to live in town when they don't wish to. We have worked separately and together to do similar things in the.
