Animal breeders selling litters are against CL terms.
Also against terms is anyone looking for pets/asking for pets.
Many of those people are in it for $$$ only, or are abusers.
How can you possibly know their backgrounds? They can be very convincing.
Please flag any ads in Pets which are asking for animals...or which are selling litters.
Help stop pet overpopulation.
If you want to rehome your pet:
-- make sure you get picture ID of person and make a copy; if they resist - it's a red flag
-- charge a reasonable fee - such as $40 or so
-- and also get vet references
-- If they rent, make sure their landlord approves; call that landlord!
-- Get vet reference.
-- Follow up for a period of time to ensure your pet was really rehomed in a safe and secure home.
-- Make sure they send you picture updates periodically for a number of months.
If you don't want to go thru all that to make sure your pet is safe, please contact your local Humane.
