Hey Lets do this punk band stuff. For real (SF BAY)
Hey guys! Starting out, I'm looking for you! Drummer? Bassist? Rhythm or Lead Guitar?
So to make a long story short, I'm a guitarist/vocalist/audio engineer enthusiast who lives and breathes music. I have had this project for a while doing a two piece punk band with me and a drummer. Unfortunately, we didn't see eye to eye and I wanted to move forward with the band thing, so I packed my bags and moved up to here to the Bay! I'm really ready to dive into this thing.
My songwriting style usually ends up being a combo of punk and progressive. Think Coheed and Cambria meets early Green Day or early Sum 41. I listen to a lot of metal as well and a lot of people say some stuff sounds old school Metallica with thrash and punk, and sometimes Municipal Waste. But I hate putting all this in a genre confinement; we should explore everything!
From our last reincarnation, I had recorded 5 songs pretty much by myself, and had about 8-9 songs, fully finished. And many ideas of stuff floating around. I've learned the difficulty of doing this thing as a 2 piece, and it's a little harder for more progressive punk stuff. So a 3 piece/4 piece would be cool, but that's not to say I wouldn't love the 2 piece thing again!
I'd love to talk more, but basically just know this: I'm a fun guy, love comedy and humor, I'm still young, got lots of material, and I really want to do this for a living, as cheesy as it might sound. I'm working on the demos I made this past year now, so I have clips if you'd like to hear.
