DoItYourself.com is looking for motivated writers who can knowledgeably compose features or comprehensive step-by-step how-to articles on a variety of subjects such as home improvement, repair, and outdoor projects. When possible, writers are expected to provide quality photos to complement their articles.

Writers can write as much or as little as they want. Planning on making a chair from scratch? Renovating your kitchen? Even if you have only one project in mind for the year, we would love to hear from you.

Writers who would like to contribute more regularly are also welcome. If you don't have an idea for a pitch, that's okay, we have articles that can be assigned to you.

All writers should be able to take clear, website-quality photos of projects when applicable. Please include a sample of photography in the application.
