Host Families are currently needed for International High School students for the 2015 school year. Open your heart and home to a high school exchange student! Exchange Service International is a foreign exchange organization that focuses on cultural interactions between Americans and youth from all over the world. We are seeking host families for students coming for the academic year.
Hosting a student for a semester or a full academic year is an incredibly rewarding experience. Academic year exchange students truly become a member of the family, and many host families maintain a life-long relationship with their new "son" or "daughter". Host families are vital to our nation's public diplomacy efforts, building bridges between America and other nations at the grassroots level.
Host families are responsible for providing room & board, transportation (students can take public transportation), and a loving family environment. Families do recieve a stipend every month to help with room/board and food. Exchange students are responsible for their personal expenses and arrive with spending money and health insurance. A Local Coordinator in your area will provide support to you and your student. ESI also provides emergency support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
