I can't tell you how many people call our office to ask questions about their legal problem or their near approaching hearing or one they attended without counsel. We are happy to answer their questions but never say goodbye without telling them that they should not set foot in a courtroom without counsel. There are rules that govern the court and unless you have an attorney, it is unlikely that the judge is going to let you tell your story. I tell them "It's like taking a pencil to a gunfight.
