Hi. I am looking for someone who would like to create a drawing based on a poem for a zine I am putting together. No compensation. This is all for the fun of being part of a collaborative artistic effort. You will get credit, of course. I need a quick turnaround - by tomorrow night.

A zine is a DIY magazine that find its genesis in underground counterculture during the '60s-'80s. It is now the domain of hipsters. I ask my friends from across the country to submit poems, non-fiction, short stories, recipes, etc. I then edit and design them into a zine, called Seed, which I sell at a loss for a $1 at the DC ZineFest. To continue to collaborative feel of the zine, I like folks to create a drawing based on the poems. Art creating art.

I have no digital copies to share since this goes back to the origins of zines as print culture. However, I will of course mail you a copy once it is printed.
