Hi! My name is Lana. I am a military spouse and mother. I LOVE working with children! I feel blessed to do something that I love and enjoy doing! I strive to have a small ratio of children at a time, so I can give each child more one-on-one attention and participate in fun outings with the group! I've been a stay-at-home mom for 6 years. Prior to becoming a mom, I've babysat in high school and also worked in a nursery (infant & toddler setting) at the base chapel. I have about 10+ years of childcare experience. I have also taught in a preschool setting and I am currently the Assistant Sunday school teacher at my church. I have 3 daughters; two of which are home-educated and they are in 1st and 3rd grade. I also have an infant as well.
We are located in northwest Omaha, in the Winchester Heights subdivision. We have a large backyard with a nice Rainbow play set. When the weather is nice, we have recess outside for 30 minutes. We have a clean, smoke-free home! We have 1 cat, which stays hidden while the children are here! We are a Christian family with strong morals and implement good manners and reinforce respect, care and love for all people. Good nutrition, exercise, moral development & providing an educational background are my specialty.
I am looking to add another potty trained child between the ages of 2-5 years old to join our small group of preschoolers Monday through Friday. (If your child is not quite potty trained, I'll assist with that for an additional weekly fee of $15*) The children engage in play, music/dance, educational activities and crafts. They will learn their ABC's, numbers, colors, counting, sight words, and hand writing in a fun environment. I offer a structured Christian preschool curriculum 3 days per week (Mon, Tues, and Thurs) and fun craft/baking/field trip days on Fridays.
We will attend Preschool story-time at the Millard or Saddlebrook Public Library every Wednesday morning and go on field trips to the Children's Museum, Zoo, Vala's Pumpkin Patch, apple picking and various other fun places throughout the year!
My regular daytime hours are Mon-Fri between the hours of 7:30 AM- 5:45 PM. I do offer flexible hours on an individual basis. I am only offering FULL TIME (4-5 days per week) at this current time. If interested in part-time care, the rate will be the same rate as full time. I provide nutritious snacks in the morning and afternoon and lunch per day. I prepare mostly all homemade meals with plenty of fresh fruits & veggies served w/ every meal and whole grains as well!
