In Respect of our Flag and our National Anthem (Maine) hide this posting unhide

I am writing this today as an American Veteran who feels strongly about our Flag, our country and the unfortunate lack of respect that is being displayed. I am a retired US Marine who believes in the constitution and the rights of all to speak their mind, stand in peaceful protest as Americans should when their beliefs are being challenged. My issue is not with those who protest for a cause close to their hearts but when and where they do so...which brings me to the reason of this letter.
It is my personal belief (and the belief of many others) that those who wish to protest when our Flag is being flown or our National Anthem is played is just Not the time nor place. Many Americans who believe as I do have voiced their displeasure to those kneeling that it is Unpatriotic and Disrespectful to the Flag and those who have served for the very freedoms that our Flag provides. It appears that the protest continues on, day after day, game after game. Many others who wish to show their Love for our countries Flag are doing so publicly in many manners. Here is what I am doing to promote such beliefs of Respect, Honor and Patriotism for our country and the American Flag.
I have a bumper sticker that is on the back of my truck that has caught the attention of many like-minded Americans. When asked "where did you get that", I reply that I had it made! Many have asked if they could have one for their car to show others their pride and support for our country and our Flag. The sticker reads as follows: "We stand for the Flag-We kneel for our fallen" and flies the American Flag and a silhouette of an American kneeling in respect for those who have sacrificed so much for this country.
If you believe as I do that America is Great, that we should Stand in respect of our Flag, I kindly ask for a $4.71 donation to help defer the cost of production and mailing so that I may be able to deliver this visual display of support to you.
