Experience: Basically, I have been teaching at the college level for 14 years. I primarily teach Math, Statistics, Physics and Science. I have also done some tutoring on the side but it was limited by my work schedule.

Fee Schedule: $25 - $65 per hour based on student level and subject.

I love teaching and always look forward to that lightbulb moment when the student all of a sudden gets it. In Math this happens quite often. I am what I call an old school teacher. By that I mean, the learning is in the doing and I believe in practice, practice and more practice. This is especially true in Math and also in science. Therefore in a tutoring setting I believe in the student doing problems with my oversight rather than just me doing problems. In my classes I assign a lot of homework but the students seem not to mind since I have always had full classes with students on wait lists to get into the classes.
Hobbies: My hobbies and interests relate to the house. I love gardening and restoring furniture. My wife and I sold antiques for a few years and I would like to get back into that, but doing it online. In the way of gardening, our whole front yard is a perennial garden surrounded by a picket fence with a brick path going through it. I put it all in myself. I have also done a lot of remodeling inside the house turning it back to a victorian style inside. All in all I am a general handyman do-it-yourselfer. I also am an avid recycler, especially old computer equipment. I am also an accomplished pianist.

In my relaxing time I like to do logic puzzles. Sudoku is one of my favorites.
