This is a community development project initiated by UVM students, but with no other affiliation to the school. The purpose is to introduce the Burlington community to some of the local talent and culture that exists in the art community. We are doing this in a two part process. First with a mural creation which is in the final stages of planning, and will be painted on the N. Union St. wall of Pearl Street Beverage on the weekend of April 25th. The second part of this project is an Art Fair which will act as somewhat of an opening ceremony for the mural on the 26th, and give some local artists a chance to showcase their work. Pearl Street Beverage has been gracious enough to give us use of a large portion of their parking lot until 2pm. At this time we are still in the process of recruiting interested artists. There is no booth fee, but any supplies (i.e. table) should be provided by the artist, but let us know if you need help.
