The time frame is for Fridays, 7 am (7.30 am in the winter) to 12 noon and 4 pm to 8 pm (7 pm in the winter). Saturdays 7 am (7.30 am in the winter) to 12 noon and 5 pm to 8 pm (7 pm in the winter). Sundays 7 am (7.30 am in the winter to 12 noon and 4 pm to 8 pm (7 pm in the winter). You can pick up some extra work on holidays if they fall during the days, Monday through Thursday.
You will be responsible for a 40 pen dog capacity, 6 pen cat capacity (sometimes up to 50 dogs, plus cats) kennel. This work will include checking in and out pets, turning out pets 4 times a day, feeding 2 times a day, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, scooping dog and cat droppings, answering the phone, taking reservations, returning messages. May have to do some minor repairs if something comes up. It is not hard work, but there is constant moving. There will have to be multi tasking and there needs to be attention to detail. You will have to have a good repore with the clients and the animals.
One person can handle the kennel up to and including 24 runs. Above this number, extra help is needed. We will provide for help above this number, or you are welcome to bring someone, pending our approval, and we will compensate them. Sometimes there are as few as 3 dogs and other times such as holiday weekends in the summer, there can be as many as 50 dogs.
This job requires dedecation especially in the summertime.
