I do have a lifetime of buiding experience, as an example: I was once called the punch list kid, in days of old, I could build your whole house, but for the last 15 years, I have just been specializing in tile instalations. I do everything that goes along with tile installations. I make waterproof shower pans, float walls plum and level, and float floors to level. Strengthen walls and rotten floors. Cut door bottoms and base trims when the project calls for it. Remove and reset trims and appliances when the project calls for it. I build the countertops when a project calls for tiled coutertops. I specialize in the trade of tile. By just doing tile, not mixing in carpet or deck building, this gives me economic and time efficiencies more than others that simply do not get the full hands on experience day to day. I am a professional with laying custom designs: tile wave patterrns or custom mosaic patterns, marble, granites, travertines, etc... I am a wealth of knowledge with designs. You can roll a marble down my grout lines.
This is my fourth year back home in Indiana. Previously, I have set tile while living in Aspen Colorado, Vail Colorado, Sedona Arizona, and most recently 4 years in Jackson Wyoming were perfection is demanded. Anything less than perfect gets torn out and redone. It is easy to be perfect when you care about the quality and put in the extra time to do the job right. Tile is my art, I make custom tiles and custom mosiac tile designs out of raw clay, and specific glazes, when such an opportunity arises. I own kilns and my garage is a clay room.
