Democrats cannot unilaterally disarm when it comes to taking money from rich people, and they cannot overturn the Citizens United decision by themselves (though President Obama was right to call out the Supreme Court for that terrible decision.) I agree with Kristof, however, that there is more Democrats could be doing get some money-corruption out of the political system, and to add some transparency:
